| Marine Hall of Fame Inductees Announced |

ST. JOHN’S, NL — The Navigator
Magazine and Master Promotions Ltd. is pleased to announce that three new
Newfoundland and Labrador members have been selected to be inducted into the
Atlantic Canada Marine Industries Hall of Fame.
The three newest members are Port de
Grave, NL, fisherman Ross T. Petten,
who will be inducted as a Mariner; Harbour Grace, NL-based processing pioneer Alec D. Moores who will be inducted as
a Processor; and master boat-builder Henry
Vokey of Trinity, NL, who will be inducted as a Builder (see biographies in
the backgrounder below).
The
inductions will take place at 2 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 30, 2012, at the North
Atlantic Fish & Workboat Show at Mile One Centre in St. John’s. Members of
the public and media are invited to attend.
The three
individuals were nominated by their peers and chosen by a selection committee
made up of some of the foremost fishery/marine industries journalists in the
province — all three are very worthy inductees who have made major impacts in
the marine industries field.
